These New Remixes Of This New Technology

Midnight Juggernauts' first release lead to some of my all-time favorite remixes so it's no surprise that their new single would lead to some great stuff as well. With some great names on the package including Emperor Machine, The Juan Maclean, and Memory Tapes. I personally am feeling the ladder two much more so those are the two I have for you today. The first time I listened to the Memory Tapes remix I kind of went, "eh I guess this is interesting", and since then, listen by listen, my response has been progressively better. At this point I'm at the stage where I love it, and am probably completely overplaying it. It's a very diverse mix with so many ideas crammed in to a 5 minute space that it becomes mind numbingly brilliant in it's movement. Now The Juan Maclean remix definitely holds it's own. Great percussion work, vocal chops, and some great bass combine for 7 minutes of great disco flavored indie-electro.

Night By Night (Siriusmo Remix)

What can I say? It's pretty simple, at least for a Siriusmo remix, but of course nothing short of brilliant.

Bonus:

Sticky K Seems To Be Sticking Around

I just got the latest batch of remixes from Sticky K, and I see no reason to make you guys wait for these bangin' mixes so here we go. The first is a mix for an EP out on Scatterblog's still-fairly-new label. The EP is Scattermish and Mat Cant with their song "Hornbo". It's really dope EP with some great remixes, my favorite of which comes from Sticky K. If you are one of the people who liked the concept of Renaissance Man's "Spraycan", but thought it was just maybe a little bit to techy, this is for you. Same great air horn madness in an even crazier form. This one's just crazy.

Next is one of the 20-something (kidding) remixes that came with the "Put Your Hands On Me" single recently released by Crookers. I'm not a big fan of the original song, but Sticky K has definitely managed to turn it in to something that is more than pleasant to listen to. Another good one here.

Bonus: and a new one from the master…

(They Are) Champions

I'm always surprised to remember how much I like The Cool Kids. There's something about them that definitely reaches out past the average hip-hop bitches and cars rhymes over crappy beats. Maybe it's the same reason that makes them smart enough to do something like go and collaborate with fellow chicagoites (?) Hey Champ. Separately both artists are great, and it definitely shows major talent to be able to come together and create something this good. If you ever find yourself trying to create some classy electro-pop hip-hop, take this as an example.

Peanuts Club

Hey guys, I was so happy with the response I got with my trooper remix! I really appreciate the feedback. I just finished a remix of Noob & Brodinski's hit "Peanuts Club." It comes harder than my trooper remix. Let me know you guys think!

Black Noise Means Business

Black Noise, Hailing from the United Kingdom just dropped their second EP titled "EP2" as well as a remix of the Crookers track featuring Wiley titled Business Man. Black Noise certainly upped the track and added in one hell of a wobbling bassline. If you dig this remix I would definitely recommend you go check out their original tracks, as they all pretty much sound exactly like this. They are all pretty much back to back basslines with massive buildups and drops. The new EP dropped a little less than a week ago on Southern Fried Records and you can buy it on Beatport here. Because I haven't made a post in so long (due to the massive amounts of schoolwork I've had) I'll throw in Crookers remix as well as my favorite track off their new EP. Enjoy and I apologize for posting so rarely lately. I'll do my best to do it as much as possible from now on.

Lite Brite

I have to admit that I think Das Glow is one of my favorite producers of 2009. He has put out music on labels Institubes, Vulture, and Arcade Mode. He has remixed the likes of Shadow Dancer, The Micronauts, Douster, The Faint, and more. Today, Institubes released a remix EP dedicated to my favorite track of his, "Lite Brite." The EP features Strip Steve and Qebrus. Their is also a new Das Glow song on the EP I love. Go buy this EP now!!

Tracklist:

1. Lite Brite

Heads Will Roll

I am sure you guys have been waiting for this one. A-Trak is back with his astounding Yeah Yeah Yeah's remix that has been getting attention from Tiga, Erol Alkan, and Annie Mac. I must say that this is his best work to date. A-Trak says he is done with remixes after this one to focus on productions. This makes me so excited to hear what he is working on.

ZOo00OOm

After listening to Hudson Mohawke's new album "Butter," I was quick to pick out my favorite songs. Their were a few that stood out but this track ZOo00OOm stood at the most. After hearing it the first time I was instantly hooked and could not stop listening.

Trooper

So by now I am sure many of you have heard Boys Noize's sophomore album "Power." I have to say it's nothing less than amazing. All the tracks stand out in their own original way and construct a very "powerful" album. I just finished up my remix for the track Trooper. I hop you guys like it!

Corporate Occult

Night Of The Hornheadz

A smile comes to my face every time I see that there is a new Act Yo Age or Sweat It Out release on it's way. I know it means some seriously fun beats, and catchy electro is to come. This latest release is really blowing all their past EP's out of the water too. The original features Drop The Lime, and comes with remixes from Acidkids, Bird Peterson, DCUP, and Sticky K. The original track is great, and for those of you who love Drop The Lime, but are unsure about Act Yo Age, go ahead and grab this one. Luca's presence is definitely felt all over this one. The heart of this release definitely comes from the remixes, however. Bird Peterson's remix is easily one of his strongest yet. Brilliant in it's destroying heaviness as well bouncy playfulness. I can't get enough of this one. DCUP really impressed me on this remix. Turn it up if you really want to feel that beautiful bouncy bass. Last but not least is the Acidkids remix. Another heavy hitter full of bass, and big beats. Every track here is worthy of multiple listens.

I seriously can't stop listening to the Bird Peterson remix.

Money For Nothing - Giants Remix (clip)

Russian dubstep trio "Giants" have remixed Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing". All I could get my hands on was a clip of the song, but I will be eagerly waiting for the full version. This song is heavy shit!

Green Eyed Love

I can say that I am beyond pleased with this remix. A clash of two of my current favorite artists couldn't have been any better. Easily a remix highlight of 09 so far. Please download this!!!

Midnight Juggernauts - This New Technology

Ooops!

A few weeks ago we posted about Hudson Mohawke, and the clip of his new album that was posted on the Warp site. Then this showed up in our inbox a few days later. I've sat on these long enough, and they're just too good to keep from you guys any longer. This site explains the whole story behind the tracks. I encourage you to check it out. Seriously.

Love Like A Sunset

Animal Collective has done it again. Just beautiful to listen to.
