I Need A Vacation (Preferably European)

Alright maybe summer did just end, but I'd still be fine with some more vacation time. On to the real point of this post... Linus Loves just released his next single through Beatport today. After the success of "Prom Night" it's no shock that people are getting excited about this new track. Perfectly titled "European Vacation", it will make you want to do nothing but relax and listen to Linus Loves' beautiful synth-house all day.

Linus' friend Burns also just gave us permission to let this little gem out of its purchase-only box. His Majesty Andre takes this one to a whole new level. The original is a fun house track with a good sample, and a nice beat to it, but when His Majesty Andre get his hands on it it was turned in to something else completely. This one is worthy of being in an old Daft Punk Essential Mix or something of the sort. This track is going to be on rotation for a while.

Black & Blue

Tiga's remix of Miike Snow's "Black & Blue" starts off with a loop of the words "I won't waste your time", and that is not a lie. It's been a long time since I have seen Tiga make a remix this good. He captures everything I love about his style together in to just 6 minutes and 21 seconds. At certain moments this remix embraces Tiga's disco style, then his love for minimal tech-house, and there's even room for some big bass to drop in there. Thanks to our friends over at RCRD LBL for hosting this one.

If that isn't enough for you we also have a remix by Caspa here. He does is usual thing on it. I'm definitely digging the piano break downs, and of course those lovely wobbles.

Hyph Mngo

Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo (Requested To Be Taken Down)

Gucci Vump

Sound Pellegrino has done it again. They have released another smokin' hot record. This time from mysterious Gucci Vump. Sound Pellegrino is on fire right now having put out records by Harvard Bass, Renaissance Man, Momma's Boy, and more. Their newest artist, Gucci Vump is a bit of a mystery. Their is wide speculation on who it could be. The rumors are that it could be Tiesto, Steve Angello, Brodinski, and even Fake Blood. We don't really need to know because the music speaks for itself. It is a bouncing techno masterpiece. The EP is out now on Beatport and I recommend you go buy this release. Remixes by L-Vis 1990 and Downtown who is one half of the duo Renaissance Man.

Tracklist:
Sha! Shtil!
The Boogieman

Death Suite (DJ Mehdi Edit)

I am basically just embarrassing myself with how little I've been posting lately, but school is ust killing me. Hopefully you can understand...

Anyway, DJ Mehdi's edit of Erol/BN's "Death Suite was just posted over at the Boys Noize Rec. official blog. I expect greatness from him, and he comes through. Great job on this one Mehdi. And if somehow any of you readers haven't heard the other track from this EP, "Waves", please go check it out. One of the best tracks of the year, easy.

This one is probably a few days past it's postable expiration date, but I like it so why not? I was glad to learn Fool's Gold would be on remix duty for Cudi's newest hit, but following came a few disappointing mixes along with one or two good ones. Here is the best one in my opinion. It's also the first time Sammy Bananas has really impressed me. Disco/pop/bass/80's synth works very well for this track.

I Love Techno

Last year Boys Noize gave us a proper serving of techno in his I love Techno mix but this year its the Crookers turn. Crookers hit the scene with their track "Love to Edit," their remix of "Day n' Night" by Kid Cudi and a slew of others. Lately they have haulted their output of music because they are working on their first full length album. Luckily they are delivering us with their I Love Techno Mix. I Love Techno will be held on October 24th in Ghent, Belgium.

Teknique

This happens all the time. I get a new track from an artist I really like, and I get lazy. I figure I'll like the track, but not enough to post it so I set it aside and say I'll listen later. Half the time I forget to even listen, and half the time I'm right and don't care enough to post it. Sometimes however, I feel incredibly stupid because it turns out the track is amazing, and should've been posted the second I got it. So, sorry about that Burns, and hopefully I don't look too lame posting "Teknique" a few days later than everyone else. This track is bound to be a classic with Burns usual choppy, funky style as well as beautiful bass, and sharp piano to really make this track stand out. The full EP is now available on Beatport. What are you waiting for?

Burns - Teknique (ALT) [Most Fancied]

Both of these tracks are just a little too good to go by just as normal bonuses so I just wanted to make a point of letting you know that these are really worth checking out. Both are great.

Drone - Felix Cartal

Felix Cartal recently released his newest banger "Drone". This track is really something. To be completely frank i wasn't a big fan of some of his previous remixes, and although i do find this song a little repetitive, I can still see the forward progress from previous tracks Cartal put out. The breakdown is massive. This track is a banger!!!

Round 'Em Up

There's been a serious lack of posting going on lately so I thought I'd play a little catch up here, and kill a few birds with one post... or however the expression goes.

It took quite a few HypeM chart toppers before I really took Death To The Throne seriously, but I've realized he's definitely someone to watch. You can't really be considered a good remix until you've attempted to remix a Daft Punk classic (right?) so here is his take on "Technologic". It definitely doesn't focus on the original parts much, but definitely shows off his interesting style and takes the song in a completely different direction.

I really can't think of a single track involving Steed Lord that I ever really loved, except maybe the Jack Beat's remix of "It's What U Do 2 Me", but this latest remix of theirs has definitely won me over. I wouldn't even have given it a listen if I didn't see FutureFlash's name on it, but I'm glad I did. Very nice remix.

I was thrilled to receive two great new track from NROTB the other day. One being an original and the other, a remix of Amanda Blank's "Might Like You Better". The original track, "Droplet", is great, but MUST be listened to very very loud or else it will sound quite boring. The second track is my favorite track of theirs yet. It's an excellent remix that I can imagine being played be pretty much anyone anywhere, and would definitely have the dancefloor moving.

Last, but not least is the Jesse Jamz remix of Flosstradamus' single, "Big Bills". I imagine this remix being played in more of an intimate club setting where everyone is jumping in to one another's personal space, and sweating all over each other. I'm definitely digging this one.

Mr Hudson's White Lie As Told By Rusko

Mr Hudson's first full length release (as Mr Hudson & The Library) gained him tons of attention. It got him a remix from The Count & Sinden, but probably most importantly it got some serious notice from Kanye West who later signed Mr Hudson to his label G.O.O.D. Music. Mr Hudson's second release will be out soon, and with any good release these days comes some good remixes. The easiest way to make sure that your remix package gets some serious props is to throw on a Rusko remix. Mr Hudson was smart enough to do that, and I bet he's happy with his choice right now because the remix turned out great. It's not the greatest remix he's ever done, and the drop isn't quite as destroying as some of his have been, but it would certainly get a dancefloor moving. Overall it's a very well made remix that I would love to hear at a festival or in any club setting.
